Art journal pages

I'm in an art journal CJ over on UKS called From the Ashes hosted by Karen, I have completed 2 pages for her journal, topic anything goes :) I tried out 2 different styles for her book, one with inks and the other paints, I really liked getting messy for both of them but I think I preferred the inky one, which I gave the distressed look. Which one do you like?

June Trendy Tags

Another monthly tag swap over on UKS this time hosted by Rosie, the trend this month was bunting or flags. I love this little Stampotique stamp. The bunting made me think of a party theme:) I was pleased at how they turned out, hope whoever gets them likes them too.

Tinchy

Over on UKS I joined a tinchy swap, where we had to decorate a little mint tin with our swappees theme. My swappee Jayne wanted a fantasy theme, mystical beings and such like, so this is what I did and I hope she likes it :) I painted the top and bottom, alcohol inked the edges and added some little stars, added an image of a white unicorn on the front. I made a little book to go inside with some images and facts about some mystical creatures.

Trendy Tag swap

I've joined in the May Trendy Tag Swap over on UKS, I had such great fun last time, this months theme was hexagons, these are my tags. I stamped onto tissue paper, stuck it on giving it the crumpled look, added the hexagon paper, distessed the tags and inked the edges, this was my first time making ribbon rosettes, I used a button for the centre and added a quote.

Art journal CJ page

Over on UKS I'm in an art journal circle journal called KISS (Keep It So Simple) I have finished my page for Rosiemac's journal with the title 'words to live by' I choose the words from one of Tim Holtz stamp collections Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain. I love this saying because I firmly believe that life is what you make it. I used some of Tim Hotlz distress inks to create the page and I had lots of fun doing it :) now it is all wrapped up and ready for posting.

Alice ATC's

I have been making 'White Rabbit' ATC's for a secret swap on the Alice in Wonderland theme, at the minute my atc's are winging their way to France to Rebecca, who is going to put all the atc's into a little book, I'm sure they will all look wonderful and can't wait to see them all home. The stamp I have used is my new found love Octopode, all the stamps are gorgeous, just going to have to wait till next pay day so I can get myself some more. This is a close up, I got a little white rabbit charm and couldn't fit it on the front, so I have put it on the back with my details, that is what the red ribbon sticking up from the backis.

Match box

Another swap over on UKS, a matchbox shrine swap, I am sending to Frances  and the theme is Carnival masks, the little charm hanging inside can be removed and worn. I managed to burn my finger using my bejeweler putting on the little gems, those things can get very hot!! but I think the end effect is good  :)
